Top 5 banana trees in games (because developers have never seen a real tree)

These days I decided to do some drawing studies and remembered a post I've been thinking to do for a while, but forgot about it, I swear, it was the last time I played Harvest Moon so it must have been around the middle of last year, so here we go, because I'm going to do something I don't usually do (on the internet), complain.

(By the way, here's the study, a wood I have a grudge against and another I've only seen once in my life because some "merchants" stole almost all of them from my country)
(By the way, here's the study, a wood I have a grudge against and another I've only seen once in my life because some "merchants" stole almost all of them from my country)

As you may have noticed here, I really like video games, especially farm games, building games and so on. I also really like attention to details, seriously, I beat Ocarina of Time on the 3DS again because I wanted some prints of some fabrics in the game (I think that's even worth a post).

Another thing you might not know is that I have a distaste for the lack of research that game developers have for real-life things... because game developers rarely live in the real world, touch grass, see the sky, etc. (very old games I even give them a pass) however, there are some things that are ALWAYS wrong, so let's go to my...

TOP 5 WORST BANANA TREES IN GAMES!!!

5° - THE SIMS 3 (PC)

Let's start good here, The Sims! Great franchise, I lost hours in this game, and as always, I always tried to make my garden in it, and my god, at first I thought I had planted the wrong thing, because look, a standard tree was growing in the place where I had stuck a banana in the ground (kids, bananas are not planted like that, do not repeat at home), until at some point, plim, there were THREE SEPARATE BUNCHES OF BANANAS ON THE TREE!

I'm at least happy that this must have annoyed someone else so much that they went and made a mod to fix it.

Oh and if I'm not mistaken, in The Sims 4 it's still wrong.

4° - Animal Crossing New Leaf (Nds)

And here we start the atrocities, look, I'm not expecting realism from a game where you go around talking to animals and owe money to a loan shark...... ok so far it's looking pretty normal but let's continue.

But let's be honest, Animal Crossing, like other games on this list, are basically escapism, but how the heck am I going to escape from my reality as a worker who will never have a real house even working almost every day of the week IF I HAVE TO LIVE WITH THIS ATROCITY HERE:

Seriously, it's literally the same "tree" as the palm tree and the coconut tree, which are not even close to the same thing unlike the other fruit trees in the game!

Which makes me think that they haven't put a banana tree in New Horizons yet (A TROPICAL GAME) because they have no idea how to make a banana tree!

3° - Harvest Moon: a wonderfull life (PS2, GameCube, Switch)

Man, I love this game, I prefer the "theme" that the original had, and I really liked several of the gameplay adjustments they made in the remake, it's worth remembering that the first time I played this game was on the PS2, and my god, how this game lagged, it was sooooooo sloooooow. And even so I played it too much....

But this, this annoyed me a lot, first that in the original version it was just a "generic tropical tree 2", seriously, I have no idea what tree they were trying to make here.

I understand that to not stray from the scheme of the other trees in the game they have to spread the bunches on the tree as if they were apples... but yeah, wrong anyway.

And well, I thought they were going to fix this in the remake, since they changed a lot of things in it, the game got lighter and clearer, would my dear Musaceae get the retouch it deserved? Well, see for yourselves:

♫Esse coqueiro que da banana onde eu amarro minha rede♫
♫Esse coqueiro que da banana onde eu amarro minha rede♫

IT'S A COCONUT TREE!!! AND DON'T MAKE ME TALK ABOUT THE ATROCITY THAT IS EACH BUNCH OF BANANAS GIVING A HEART

 2° - Fantasy Life (Nds)

Here I'm not even going to talk about banana trees in itself, because if you've noticed so far all the trees mentioned here are wrong so it doesn't matter, I wanted to talk about it, and what this game does.

Look, you have several professions in it and all of them have new challenges for you to collect new resources, create new items and collect new resources, well, you went there, chose to be a lumberjack, the first thing you cut is an oak (we're starting high here, it could be a pine or something softer like a eucalyptus, but not here), so okay, you advance a little and the next type of tree to be cut is a pine, okay, okay, it makes sense so far.....and then, we get to the third level..........

someone thought, well, the third part has to have a tropical air, nothing more fair THAN A PALM TREE BEING A BETTER WOOD THAN PINE AND OAK.........

ah no way, palm tree can't even be considered real wood! (okay, there are about 3 types that you can get something close to wood, BUT IT'S NOT) I don't know, make a mangrove tree, put a +2 water element on it and everthing is fine, but don't put a damn palm tree as wood!!!

 1° - Stardew Valley (PC)

I would never speak ill of the great being of light that is ConcernedApe, in fact, this part here will even be a congratulations, he was the one who came closest to making a correct banana tree! (attention to the, came close)

This is very good, see how it's even cut down in "Winter". The only mistakes that this man made is not having the flowering part, which I'll give him a pass since the other trees don't have it...

And the fact that it gives THREE BANANAS, not bunches, but UNITS..........but I can't be mad at him, I understand that this is the way he programmed the fruit trees, 3 fruits at a time and I highly doubt that he was planning to put a banana tree that only came much later, so congratulations to our winner for at least trying (learn something Harvest Moon)

BONUS: THIS IS NOTHING TO DO WITH A STARFRUIT!!!!

But let's try to learn something from all this, in the end this anger of mine made me do a little study and try to make the most correct banana tree I could! And I did something quick because I didn't want to spend too much time on it so judge me. My only mistake here was not putting more leaves, but in pixel art it would look bad.

I think in the end this was a post showing a little of my disdain for the palm tree and how it annoys me that people don't do the minimum research... here where I live people destroy several native trees to put a specific type of palm tree from other continents, which do absolutely nothing, don't give fruit to animals, don't make shadows, don't improve the soil, NOTHING, but it looks tropical.........AS IF I DIDN'T ALREADY LIVE IN A DAMN TROPICAL COUNTRY!!!!

"man rages at palm tree"
"man rages at palm tree"

That's it for today folks, I'm going to go watch the grass grow, and if you're a game developer, and you're going to make one that talks about nature... please, at least try to get to know it... and drink water too, that's very important.
